M.A.T. - Master of Arts in Teaching

The Master of Arts in Teaching Program is a 12-month program designed for liberal arts majors who want to continue graduate study in an academic field and at the same time secure teacher certification at the middle or high school level. Students are admitted to both the School of Education and the appropriate department in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in the following areas: English Education, Mathematics Education, Social Studies Education, Science Education, Latin and Classical Humanities, and Modern Foreign Language Education.
