Brandeis University's post-baccalaureate premedical program is designed to allow college graduates who are interested in a career in medicine and other health professional schools to take necessary sciences courses needed in order to apply to medical/ health professional school. The small, intensive program of no more than fifteen students provides students with individualized academic and career advising in a supportive environment. The curriculum also supports students interested in applying to related health fields such as dental, veterinary, optometry, osteopathic medical, or podiatric programs.
The program is not designed for students who have completed their pre-requisite coursework. Instead, it is intended for those who have not taken the courses required for admission to medical and other health professional schools. It is not desigend for students who wish to repeat or supplement prior science coursework. A background in math and some volunteer experience in the medical field is recommended.
