OR practitioners develop and solve mathematical and computer models of systems using optimization and statistical methods. Students with a bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or science may apply for the MSOR degree program. The program is offered jointly by the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and the Mathematics Department. An applicant may apply for admission through either one of the two departments. Students will receive their degree from the college where they are enrolled.
