Master's
CTL’s flagship offering is the Master of Engineering in Logistics (MLOG) program, an intense, nine-month professional Masters degree program that teaches a unique mix of analytical and leadership skills. The program prepares students to become problem solvers capable of designing and operating complex systems. Students also develop the selling and negotiating competencies they will need to implement their ideas. Moreover, the MLOG program exposes students to MIT’s influential alumni and industry network.
Doctoral
The main objective of the ESD PhD program is to prepare colleagues who can seed engineering schools with the integrative ideas of engineering systems. The ESD PhD program is residential. Doctoral students share courses and seminars as a means to establish a common intellectual basis and collegial community. Students must satisfy a distributional requirement, prepare a program of in-depth courses, and pass the Doctoral Exams. Students work with the faculty and committees to focus their preparation and research into the areas that are most productive for them, leading to a dissertation advancing the field of Engineering Systems. Each student’s doctoral program requires research capabilities at the forefront of the field of engineering systems.
Certificate
Starting in 2009, the GC-LOG is an innovative graduate certificate that combines MIT-CTL world-class supply chain studies with graduate business and engineering programs in Latin America.
On Campus

Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Master of Engineering in Logistics (MLOG) program attracts business professionals from across the globe to participate in its one-of-a-kind logistics and supply chain management program.

In just nine months, MLOG students hone their supply chain expertise through an intensive program that includes:

Started in 1998 by the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics, MLOG provides its graduates with proficiency in both problem solving and change leadership, which are skills they are now practicing in a wide variety of industries, including consulting, manufacturing, retail, logistics, distribution and software.

Companies worldwide are turning to logistics and supply chain management to give them strategic advantage, and they’re hiring MLOG graduates to implement that change.

The MLOG program requires the completion of at least 90 MIT course units. A typical full-semester course ranges from 9 to 12 units.  Most MLOG students end up taking between 100 and 120 units.

Of the required units, MLOG students must complete:

  • Seven required core courses

  • Eighteen units of electives (at minimum)
