Arch.- Architecture On Campus   Our graduate degree programs are designed to integrate work, or practice-based learning, with academic studies. Students benefit from building professional portfolios, resumes and connections while earning their first professional degree. Consequently, BAC graduates gain a significant head start over their peers at academic only colleges, having already amassed substantial professional experience upon graduation. Students work in full-time, paid positions during the day and work toward their degree in the evening. The result is a bridge between workplace and classroom learning, which each setting complementing the other. Students alse earn credits toward fulfillment of the Internship Development Program (IDP)required for professional licensure. Most qualify to sit for the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE) immediately upon graduation.     Accreditation Information:   # Of Credits Required:   Time To Degree:     Previous Degrees Applicants are required to have earned the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in order to enroll in the graduate program. No specific major or set of coursework is required. For students who have little to no vocational or educational background in design, the BAC offers a first year academic only program (AOP) designed to teach students all of the basic foundation design courses required for professional success.  Pre-Requisite Courses Students must have either completed Physics and PreCalculus prior to enrolling in the program or during their first few semesters. No portfolio is required for admission, although it may be required for students seeking to be granted transfer credits for previous design courses.  International Student Requirements Prospective students who hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. university, or an equivalent degree from overseas, are eligible to apply to the master's degree programs in architecture or interior design. The College does not require its applicants to hold a prior design degree. International students must complete the same application for admission as domestic graduate students. In addition to the requirements for admission for domestic students, international students must submit a TOEFL score report, a certification of finance, and a foreign credential evaluation (when applicable).  Requirements Qualifying Exam: None Required Minimum Exam Score: GPA or Equivalent: English Proficiency: Yes Research Competency: No Clinical Internship: No   Work Experience Students are required to work a minimum of 5400 hours in paid positions in design firms while studying at the BAC. This is a wonderful way of becoming acquainted with the BAC, its programs, and staff. The Information Session begins with a welcome from the BAC's Director of Admissions, followed by a history and description of the school. Afterwards, you are invited to speak on an individual basis with representatives from the academic departments, practice component, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Continuing Education offices.
