Training is available in most areas of modern anatomical research, with emphasis on neurobiology, including sensory systems, developmental neuroscience, electrophysiology, neurochemistry, cell-cell and nerve-muscle interaction, neurotrophic influences and neuroplasticity, in normal and diseased states. The program has two basic objectives: to train individuals to perform independent, original and innovative research, and to educate scholars to teach in medical and other graduate programs.
