The Early Childhood Endorsement program provides currently certified elementary teachers in Kansas with an additional endorsement in early childhood education. Students in the program learn principles of growth and development of children from conception through age five, including familial, societal, and other ecological factors affecting young children’s development. Students also learn how to plan for the enhancement of physical, social, and emotional development of children and examine programs for young children, including philosophical and theoretical foundations. To complete the program, students must complete 45 credit hours of professional studies.
