This post-master's, non-degree licensure is a 39-hour program that includes all courses required for licensure as a secondary and elementary principal. Courses provide practical and theoretical knowledge of leadership, effective administrative practices, school law, community and parent relations, school improvement, supervision and evaluation, curriculum, and instruction. Case studies, simulations, practitioners, class dialogues and discussion, lecture, research, and participation are a few of the ways students learn together during the class sessions. Culminating experiences include a year-long principal internship program and a professional development portfolio. This program is open to eligible applicants in Indiana. Distance courses in this program include on-campus components, typically three Saturday sessions per semester. The program can be completed in two semesters (full time); three semesters is the norm. Students have the option of part-time study.
