This is an 18-hour, graduate program leading to licensure as a middle / secondary teacher (grades six - 12). Currently, this program is open to Indiana (and Wabash Valley residents). The program consists of 18 credit hours of study in diverse teaching pedagogy and adolescent development, a content methods course, plus supervised field experiences. Students complete fieldwork and a student teaching experience with co-mentoring and supervision from University faculty and outstanding practicing teachers. Upon completion of this program, individuals are eligible for an Indiana Initial Practitioner Licensure to teach in middle school, junior high school, and senior high school settings in the content areas in which the individual meets program requirements.
