The M.A. and Ph.D. programs in the learning sciences are dedicated to the preparation of researchers, developers, and practitioners qualified to advance the scientific understanding and the practice of teaching and learning. The programs are interdisciplinary, drawing on theories and approaches from education, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, artificial intelligence, computer science, anthropology, and communications. The programs focus on understanding and improving learning environments -- not only in schools and classrooms but also in homes, neighborhoods, and work environments.
