The purpose of this program of advanced studies is to further the professional abilities and scholarly preparation of teachers at levels ranging from preschool through junior high school. Upon completion of an approved course of study, the student is awarded the Maser of Science in Education degree. The preparation of competent master teachers for classroom teaching and for other positions of leadership in preschool, elementary, and middle level education is among the department's highest goals.
