The center works with other units to diffuse an Africanist presence and consciousness as widely as possible, arranges visiting appointments by Africanists, provide for visiting lectures, counsels students, develops teaching aids, organizes forums and symposiums where Africanists can exchange ideas, as well as administering its MA program and providing fellowships.
