As the trend towards globalisation of trading activities continues apace and firms, large and small, gear up to the opportunities and threats that this development brings, a Master's degree that focuses particularly on the international dimension of business is an increasingly valuable asset in the employment market and forthe development of your career. The program is intended for recent graduates of degrees with a substantial amount of business studies, economics or social science. It will particularly interest those who wish to entercareers in business in which international activities play an important part. It also provides a good foundation for those who wish to move on to a research degree or an academic post. You study compulsory subjects in: international business strategy and the context of international business. You have a wide range of choice for your remaining modules, which enables you to select options which meet your own intellectual interests and/or career needs. These options are from a list of 'international' modules, which will normally include: international business operations; Japanese management; international finance; comparative international accounting; international marketing; and international trade. Further options can be taken from a wider listof modules offered within the Business School. You also write a Master's dissertation of around 15,000 words on an agreed international business topic. This enables you to demonstrate your grasp of research methods and your ability to integrate your learning from your choice of subjects. industry.
