Cert.- Environmental Management for Business On Campus   This modular program is for practitioners in full-time employment with business and industry, regulatory bodies, local authorities and consultancies who wish to develop their understanding of how sound environmental management practices can deliver competitive advantage to business. Participants will also acquire expertise in the choice, design and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).The program leads to named awards by distance learning in the workplace, and is participating in the Institute of Environmental Management's Signature of Commitment in Environmental Management. The program has been developed by the Department of Environmental Sciences and the Business School, with supportfrom Business Link Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council, and Groundwork Hertfordshire. The program recognises the need to transfer best practice in environmental management to business, industry and Local Authorities, so that the gains achieved in recent years in improving environmental performance of larger companies in Britain can be extended via the supply chain.
