In addition to exploring important aspects of Twentieth century composition, the MSc Composition aims to develop, in a practical manner, compositional skills and techniques to an up-to-date advanced professional level. It will therefore place particular emphasis on the use and integration of state-of-the-art computer and electronic technology alongside conventional instrumental resources. Teaching takes place in the Music Centre, which in the last few years has become a centre of excellence in the teaching of electro-acoustic music.
