The Community and Culture psychology specialization is a graduate program leading to the PhD in psychology. Training for the PhD is multidisciplinary, including Certificate options in Planning Studies and in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance. Accordingly, the core curriculum is combined with offerings from other departments at the University and with practicum experience in education, corrections, judicial, government, and/or social welfare settings. This multi-disciplinary curriculum is designed to provide systematic coverage of the major theoretical and empirical work in the field with sufficient flexibility to meet student interests, enthusiasms, and career goals.
