The specialist degree prepares literacy educators and leaders at the K-12, community college, and adult levels. The PhD prepares you to conduct research relating to literacy instruction, literacy assessment, and lifelong literacy acquisition. You learn to design, implement, and evaluate literacy programs, programs for training literacy educators, and policy.
