The Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association and is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Sciences. Our program is firmly committed to training students to advance scientific knowledge and foster the application of scientifically validated procedures to human psychological problems. Adopting a scientist-practitioner model of training, students receive vigorous academic and research preparation plus extensive training in a wide range of clinical assessments and interventions.

The Cognitive and Neural Sciences program is housed in a distinguished department that also offers degrees in clinical and industrial/organizational psychology. Our program is rigorous and highly-respected, providing students with the skills they need to become research scientists and academic scholars pursuing knowledge about the relationships among behavior, mental processes, and brain functioning.

The basic mission of the University of South Florida as stated in the Comprehensive Development Plan of the State University System of Florida is: "The creation and development of programs oriented toward the solution of problems peculiar to the modern urban environment." Therefore, the principal thrust of the I/O program is to develop scientists/practitioners who are able to apply their psychological skills and knowledge effectively to the solution of human problems in complex organizations.

Application deadlines are a follows: Fall: December 15 (Clinical), January 15 (CNS and I/O); Spring: No Admission; and Summer: No Admission
