For teacher candidates, we offer SB 2042 Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and Educational Specialist Credential programs which include certification requirements to teach K-12 ESL courses in California. For graduates of the SMC Single Subject, Multiple Subject or Educational Specialist Credential Program, we offer a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Students without an SMC credential must complete the TESL certificate program at UC Berkeley Extension.
