The School of Religion offers an interdisciplinary program leading to the M.A. or Ph.D. in Social Ethics. Graduate study enables students to reflect upon the major traditions of ethical thought, to develop critical tools for understanding the function of values and moral norms in society and to acquire skills for analyzing contemporary moral issues. The Ph.D. in Religion and Social Ethics may be taken with special emphasis in Judaic studies in conjunction with the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
