In the late 1970's, the Department of Educational Administration (subsequently changed to the Department of Educational Leadership) began a summer program for international students leading to a Master or Arts degree in Education with a concentration in Administration and Supervision. Students completed their course work for the degree in 3 to 4 summer session. This program continues today and is highlighted by a distance education program which allows completion of the MA degree in a 2 full year time span in over 22 different locations.
