The Integral Counseling Psychology Program is designed for students who are seeking a Master's in Psychology that meets the highest standards of the field, while incorporating the psychospiritual as a vital dimension of human experience. It offers preparation for clinical practice as well as an integral approach in which mind, body, and spirit are valued.
In preparing students for professional careers in counseling and psychotherapy, the program draws upon the major spiritual traditions of the East and West, and on psychoanalytic, humanistic, systemic, and transpersonal approaches. Students apply their skills through supervised practicum work in various community settings, including two Integral Counseling Centers. By placing the program in a multidisciplinary context, students are exposed to a number of other fields of study such as Social and Cultural Anthropology, Philosophy and Religion, Women's Spirituality, and East-West Psychology.
