The Economics and Environmental Science (EES) Training Program at UCSB is a doctoral level multidisciplinary training program in the field of environmental economics. The goal is to establish expertise in economics and a companion field of natural science such as marine science, climatology, hydrology or applied ecology. Students prepare for careers in a number of professional settings including academia, government, and consulting.The EES Training Program is not aThe EES Training Program usually takes 5 years to Ph.D. degree completion. The goal of the first half of the EES program is to establish expertise, primarily through coursework, in economics and a companion field of natural science
