San Diego State University’s BMI graduate program offers an interdisciplinary education to students with a background in chemistry, biology, computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering. The program provides training in three branches of research and development,  including algorithm development; human-computer interface (GUI); and biological and medical systems.  The first year of the program is dedicated to developing areas complementary to the student's background, while the second year is spent furthering knowledge within the student's specialization. The program offers two paths:  a traditional Master of Science with a thesis, and  a Professional Science Master's (PSM) path with an internship along with business and management courses to better prepare students for industry leadership roles.  For more detailed information, please visit our website.
