A hallmark of our graduate program is a strong tradition of close collaboration among the various research groups within the department, as well as across departments and colleges.

Of special significance are three centers for research; Center for Protein Structure and Function, Center for Sensor Technology and Research, Arkansas/Oklahoma Center for Space and Planetary Science. These centers are supported by state of the art instrumentation including a 700 MHz (with cryoprobe), two 500 MHz and two 300 MHz NMRs, a 9.4 Tesla FTMS as well as numerous other instruments normally found in chemistry facilities.

Competitive stipends are available to incoming graduate students. Most first year graduate students receive stipends of $20,000 per year plus full tuition wavier.
