The College of Education's Department of Special Education and Multiple Abilities has designed the Alternative Master of Arts in Special Education (6-12) Collaborative degree program to prepare a highly qualified corps of teaching professionals to service the educational needs of middle and secondary school students with exceptionalities throughout the state of Alabama. In particular, the Collaborative Teacher Program is designed so that non-certified individuals, as well as Class B certified content teachers, who seek Class A endorsement in special education may obtain their academic credentials and licensure in two years of seamless instruction.
