The Instructional Leadership degree for Nurse Educators is designed to prepare practicing nurses for careers in higher education. The course of study helps develop the teaching, service, and research skills necessary for effective faculty in university and college nursing programs. Because the majority of students are full-time nurses, coursework utilizes online instruction and weekend classes. Through this collaborative effort, the Capstone College of Nursing and the College of Education seek to strengthen the future training of nurses and contribute to the quality of health care received by residents of Alabama and the Southeast region.
