Sundance Film Festival - Every January the 10-day Sundance Film Festival invades Salt Lake City. Founded in 1981 by actor/director/producer Robert Redford, this event attracts fans, hopefuls and Hollywood insiders scouting for talent. Movies that play well here have often become blockbusters and Oscar winners.
Days of '47 - This is an exciting event honoring Utah pioneers and running May through July at assorted venues. Kicking off with the Royalty Pageant, events include a rodeo and other equestrian activities, a pops concert and one of Utah's biggest, oldest parades, with floats, bands, clowns and more.
Utah Belly Dance Festival - This weekend festival sponsored by the Salt Lake Arts Council and Kismet Dance Company runs in August and includes middle-Eastern food and an impressive display of belly dancing.
