The Washington State University Biotechnology Training Program is an interdisciplinary biotechnology graduate training program with an emphasis on protein chemistry. Thirty-one of the University's top faculty in eight disciplines in five colleges constitute the core training faculty. Students rotate through four diverse laboratories in their first year, take an excellent course in biotechnology in which they bring a theoretical product to market, and participate in internships in top biotech firms and private labs. Students receive excellent financial support, receive out-of-state-tuition waivers, and have limited teaching responsibilities.Only US citizens and green card holders are eligible to participate, due to federal funding of this program.
