It is designed specifically for professionals who work in fields such as: law enforcement, corrections, victim assistance, court, probation, and protective services, jails and prisons, and specialized agencies such as child advocacy centers. Course work will allow students to: apply psychology and mental health knowledge to legal and public policy arenas in an ethical, academically informed, and research-based manner; perform risk assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for various problems and populations; and apply the necessary interpersonal, behavioral, academic, and technical skills for application in a variety legal and law enforcement environments.
