The Master of Science in Nursing - Nursing Administration offered by Lewis University is for nurse professionals looking to advance in their careers. The curriculum of this master's program integrates the Catholic and Lasallian values of Lewis University. Students will exercise leadership in the development of effective communication systems and processes; and develop interventions relative to economic, social, legal, ethical and political issues that contribute to the health of society and the profession of nursing. Course highlights include: The Business of Healthcare, Human Resource Management in Healthcare and Organizational Theory in Healthcare Organizations. Graduates of the Nursing Administration specialization are prepared to function as leaders in the administration of nursing services and patient care services to improve the delivery of healthcare and the practice of nursing. They incorporate skills gained in the financial, economic, human resources, and organizational components of management. This degree requires 42 semester credit hours to complete.
