Students work on computer-aided design and manufacturing systems and study the latest technological developments in their field, including robotics and high-speed integrated manufacturing techniques. With access to the latest manufacturing and design equipment in the labs, students are provided with the opportunities to use and master the latest technologies before they are widely in use within the industry. This program focuses on the development of analytical, creative, problem-solving and research skills. Through a balance between theory and practice, students gain specialized expertise in fashion and apparel for advanced-level positions in this competitive field. Fashion Apparel Studies students are also given the opportunity to attend a semester of graduate work at Manchester Metropolitan University in England.
