Upon finishing this program, they should be able to teach the content of mathematics, assume leadership roles in mathematics curriculum within their school, and read and understand the professional literature relating to the teaching and learning of their discipline. Emphasis is placed on preparing teachers for the 21st century with a dynamic and individualized program of study.This program is designed for in-service teachers, and combines summer classes on campus with online courses during the academic year.     Accreditation Information: North Central Association of Colleges and Schools  # Of Credits Required:   Time To Degree:     Previous Degrees Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, or equivalent  Pre-Requisite Courses International Student Requirements An international student is not a citizen of the United States or classified by United States Immigration and Naturalization Service as a resident alien. International undergraduate, transfer, and graduate applicants must meet English Language proficiency as well as academic and financial requirements before being fully admitted to the university. One option to demonstrate English Language proficiency is to successfully complete the UNC Intensive English Language Program. Please see the UNC website for more information.
