The program develops both the managerial and technical skills of its graduates. Students specialize in a technical area designed to meet their personal and professional needs. Popular specialty areas include, but are not limited to Quality Management, Industrial Engineering Technology, Production Operations, Information Technology, Packaging and Supply Chain Management. The program is particularly appropriate for people who have undergraduate degrees in such areas as technology, engineering or business.     Accreditation Information: The Graduate School at UW-Stout is fully accredited by the North Central Association of College and Secondary Schools (NCA) to offer programs at the master's and education specialist levels.  # Of Credits Required: 30  Time To Degree: 1-2 years    Previous Degrees BS/BA degree (such as Technology, Engineering, or Business) from an accredited institution, and an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.75. Students with unrelated bachelor's degrees may ablso be admitted, but depending on the background of the student, they may need to fulfill specified undergraduate deficiencies. Applicants may be admitted with probation status if their overall GPA is at least 2.50.  Pre-Requisite Courses The pre-requisites requirements are as follows: Production/Operation Management, Introduction to Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Analysis, Engineering Economy, Statistics, and Technical course (minimum 12 credits)  International Student Requirements Admission requirements include: (1) Admission to a graduate degree program and the Graduate School; (2) English proficiency TOEFL score of at least 173 computer-based and 500 paper-based or 213 computer-based, 550 paper-based depending on which program is chosen, and 61 Internet-based. Test scores should be sent directly to UW-Stout (school code #1740); (3) Official copies of all post-secondary transcripts (translated into English), including proof of baccalaureate and/or highest earned degree; (4) Undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale; (5) specific program requirements.
