Well-equipped laboratories; spacious, climate-controlled greenhouses and growth chambers; and a well-staffed, 100-hectare research farm are just some of the facilities available to graduate students in the Department of Horticulture. Research areas are available to students majoring in horticulture or in an associated interdepartmental program, including biotechnology, plant physiology, genetics, pest management, plant breeding, and plant nutrition in the areas of floriculture, fruit crops, nursery, ornamental/landscape crops, vegetable crops, and turf grass.
