M.S. - Genetic Counseling
On Campus

Our new Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program slated to commence in Fall 2000 will offer a two year, 58-credit hour program with content required for national program accreditation, including human genetics, medical genetics, instrumentation and diagnostics, counseling, and medical ethics. The program will provide a balance among prenatal, pediatric, and adult onset disorders. The summer and second year of the program will focus on intensive clinical rotations in the medical centers of Duke University, Wake Forest University, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill so that students can acquire the 50 cases of clinical experience to sit for the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification examination.
