Option 1 will prepare teachers who face today’s challenges in the classroom with the curriculum designed to address new pedagogical and learning theories. This degree does not grant certification to teach art in K-12 schools. Because Option 2 is designed for those who may want to pursue a doctoral degree, it is recommended that students take advantage of the variety of studio courses available on the UNK campus. The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers affordable tuition to out-of-state online students.
