The Master of Education in Special Education program focuses on the broader concepts of exceptionality: learning, instruction and development. You will explore theory, research and advanced application in instruction and assessment with selected populations. Endorsements are available in three areas: Specific Learning Disability, Emotional Impairment and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The endorsements are contained within the degree program. The exception is the endorsement in autism spectrum disorder, which is offered as a stand-alone program of 24 or 32 credits, depending on prior credentials
Those who hold a prior master’s degree in special education or a related field may be able to complete an endorsement in SLD or EI with fewer credits than required by the degree.
