Liberty University’s Master of Education program prepares you for effective leadership in Christian, public, and private schools. Courses provide specialized preparation for individuals seeking credentials for a K–12 school position or those with a desire to further their education and pursue either an EdS or EdD. Along with core courses, you choose a specialization to gain in-depth knowledge in your chosen field. Specializations include Administration and Supervision, Teaching and Learning, Program Specialist, School Counseling. A 3 credit hour internship/student teaching is a required part of the MEd program, and on-campus intensives may be required. This program is approved through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and is a state-approved program for advanced licensure (reciprocity with other states) or endorsements. Potential Career Placement: School administration, School counseling, Educational ministries, Program specialists in gifted learning, math and reading.
