M.S.-Career and Technical Education; Ed.S.-Career and Technical Education

Designed for teachers, coordinators or administrators, these programs prepare students for leadership positions in secondary, post-secondary, community or technical colleges and business and industry. Theory and application are emphasized through real life problems in education, business and industry. Each student selects and individual career emphasis. By formal agreement, graduates of the Ed.S. program are invited to pursue a Ph.D. or Ed.D. at the University of Minnesota, Work and Human Resources Education (WHRE). That program was ranked number two in the country by US News and World Report (2007). The UW-Stout Ed.S. degree serves as the specialization for either the Ph.D. or the Ed.D. degree.
   
Accreditation Information: The Graduate School of UW-Stout is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) to offer programs at the master's and education specialist levels.
