The Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) is designed to produce graduate level prepared health informatics professionals for executive-level and enterprise-wide administrative, research, and/or applied health informatics positions.Governments, healthcare organizations and professional bodies are increasingly recognizing the need for efficient and effective access to patient information to improve the value of health care, with information technology used as an enabler in this endeavor.

Students earning their MSHI will develop the skills needed to manage information technology applications in the healthcare industry (storage, retrieval, and interpretation of patient care information) and to provide administrative support for the implementation and management of the complex information systems used in the health care industry.
