The online Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health Specialization (CNS or NP) prepares you to meet the mental health needs of clients, communities, agencies, or educational systems.

The curriculum is designed for the adult patient. You may enter this program with either a ASN or BSN degree.

          How Online Degrees Work

         As an online student, you have the opportunity to:

• set your own schedule by reviewing recorded classroom lectures and discussions that are accessed through the Internet at any time.
• interact with your instructors and other students using Web-conferencing technology.
• see your instructors' materials as though you were sitting in a classroom on the UND campus.

          Brief On-Campus Visits

         To supplement your online coursework, you will be required to visit the UND campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for up to 1 week per year of the program. Typically scheduled in the Fall, this on-campus time may inlude:

• health assessment skills validation
• work on your independent study
• opportunities to interact with faculty and other students

         Regardless of where you live, you will pay in-state tuition for all online courses.
