The M.S. in Human Resources and Employment Relations program is a residential graduate program that prepares students for careers in human resources and labor and employment relations with corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and unions. Students in the program can expect to: 1.) gain an in depth understanding of all aspects of human resource management including compensation, benefits, staffing and training, recruitment, assessment and evaluation, diversity, employment law, and strategic HR; 2.) learn about the role of unions in workplaces and the employment relations process, including collective bargaining and contract administration; 3.) become familiar with the impact of globalization on national and international organizations; 4.) acquire the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to successfully pursue careers as human resources managers, labor and employment professionals, recruiters, diversity officers, and labor and employment law attorneys for large and small companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations such as hospitals, universities, and charitable groups, as well as organizers and representatives for labor organizations. Our programs has thousands of successful professionals working in the HRER field who provide students with a ready-made professional network. A limited amount of financial aid is available on a competitive basis.
