Master's
Executive MS in Information Management
On Campus
Online

Students with six more years of appropriate full-time professional experience in the information management field and who demonstrate appropriate professional qualifications may apply into the Master of Science in Information Management Executive Program. This degree program can be completed on campus, online, or a combination of both options. Students take the same classes and learn from the same accomplished faculty members who teach in the 42-credit hour MS in Information Management program. They can tailor their coursework to fill knowledge gaps or deepen their existing knowledge to develop a specialty. Graduates of the executive information management program are effective managers of human capital and innovative problem solvers. They offer employers the benefits of a masters degree program dedicated to exploring the latest theory and practice in areas such as project management, information systems implementation, and information policy. By integrating these skills with the unique professional experiences mid-career executives bring to the program, the School of Information Studies primes students to become top executives in the field of information management. Because of the broad nature of the program, executive information management graduates feel at home in a variety of industries, including consulting, security management, technology risk management, information assurance, IT auditing, and others. They may choose to work for corporations, non-profit organizations, or the federal government. The 30-credit curriculum for students in the executive M.S. in Information Management program will be determined in collaboration with an academic advisor, and includes: Primary Core (9 credits) Secondary Core (9 credits) Electives (9 credits) Exit Requirement (3 credits)
