The Collaborative Piano MA is designed for two groups of pianists: Professional accompanists who seek to enhance their skills and increase their marketability through an advanced degree in their field and recently graduated pianists who are interested in developing the skills necessary to pursue a career in chamber music and accompanying. Other points of interest: Graduate Assistantships are available. GA's include a tuition waiver and a bi-weekly stipend in return for accompanying assignments as determined by departmental need. The M.A. can be completed in one year of residency and summer on-line courses. The M.A. prepares pianists for collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists with coursework that addresses the specific needs of both genres.
