Specialist in School Psychology – SSP The specialist in school psychology at ULM is a 72-hour program that has been developed for students interested in the application of Psychology within educational systems. These students are provided training regarding conditions necessary to enhance optimal growth and development for diverse school-aged populations. Typically, students in the program require 2 years to complete campus-based coursework with an additional year of off-campus internship activities required before graduation with the SSP degree. Because the program adheres to a scientist-practitioner model, students are carefully guided through the completion of at least one major research project as well as progressively more intensive clinical/practical application activities prior to graduation.
