Ranked 11th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, the Oakland University-Beaumont Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia provides you with the highest-quality graduate coursework and clinical internships, preparing you to be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Through research and scholarship in nurse anesthesia and related fields like physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and anatomy, you will be encouraged to exemplify excellence in educational leadership and professional involvement. You will work with a variety of client populations spanning the continuum of human health states and life spans, practicing in diverse locations and health care systems. After 28 months of full-time study, you will be prepared to take the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification examination, leading to the designation of CRNA.

Our MSN in Nurse Anesthesia segues easily into our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

For those already holding a MSN, we also offer a post-master’s certificate in nurse anesthesia. This full-time program prepares nurses as specialists in anesthesia care. Clinical core and speciality courses, including clinical internships, are the same as the MSN nurse anesthesia program.  Upon completion of the 40-credit, 28-month post-master’s certificate program, you will be prepared to take the certification exam offered by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists leading to the designation CRNA.
