The graduate program provides excellent research opportunities in the field of opioids and other drugs of abuse, vascular biology, immunopharmacology, autonomic and cardiovascular pharmacology and cell signaling. Departmental laboratories are well equipped for the pursuit of research and our faculty members use a wide variety of contemporary methodologies to address issues in system, cellular and molecular pharmacology. The graduate training program in the pharmacology of drugs of abuse is nationally and internationally acclaimed, and is one of the few training programs supported by the National Institute of Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health. Newly recruited faculty add strength to vascular biology, cardiovascular and neuroscience research.
