The services provided by PNPs include (1) promoting, maintaining and restoring health through history taking, physical assessment, diagnostic tests prescribing and educating children and families; (2) collaborating and consulting with other professionals; (3) coordinating services for children and families; and (4) referrals to other professionals as appropriate. Practicums and clinical seminars are tailored to meet the educational needs of the student. Students are encouraged to initiate and/or participate in research projects focused on improving the quality and cost effectiveness of health care to children and their families.
