The graduate program of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Connecticut is built around its curriculum in human development and family relations. The distinctive and overarching concern of the program is with behavior in context - of developmental and historical processes and the sociocultural and physical milieu. Family Studies, in other words, is concerned with behavior and relationships, and the systems in which they are embedded.
